| Ponytails are quite complex. The breadth of variety is so great that the only limits to what can be achieved are the limits of the stylist’s creativity. They can be arranged with a flat, shiny, silk base or a structured thicker, back-combed base with many variations of finish. You could tie the ponytail high or low or to one side. Also, with the body of hair, the adventurous could plait it, twist it, slip trough (the new type of the Victorian twist) or create a wrap around with the optional use of hair accessories. | |||||||||||

This Hair Look:
For this ponytail I wanted to a fairly slick base and have a mix of structure and texture.It best as for all up-do’s to have the hair not so clean. It is in fact advisable to wash your hair the day before according to your hair type. Step 1 Wash: ● Use Davines DSMYS=de stress muesly & yogurt shampoo and conditioner, enriched with Yogurt and Wheat Protein, to gently wash and recondition all hair type with no particular anomalies. ● Gently massage into wet hair. ● Rinse. ● Repeat if necessary. ● Apply Davines De-Stress Muesli Yoghurt conditioner to gently nourish, shine and soften the hair. ● Rinse well. ● Apply Davines de stress muesly & yogurt conditioner to gently nourish and give shine, softness to the hair. ● Rinse well. Step 2 Style :
● Onto dry hair, apply ample amounts of Wella Styling Mousse Light, especially at the roots to create excellent shape.
● Distribute with a comb, taking care not to create an uneven finish. ● Start by combing the hair towards the direction you would like to tie the ponytail. In this case we opted for a high ponytail and made sure that we combed all the hair from root to ends. ● Be careful no to apply excess product on the length, we will cover this part later. |

● Then comb through and flatten the hair down, while applying Wella Crystal Style firm firm spray on the root area until all the hair you hold is tangle free and clear of any excess product. ● Later, your hair should be dried in position to fix the shape that you have created. ● Comb until you get the hair in shape. ● Select an elastic band with hooks to match your hair colour. ● Hold your hair with one hand, the thumb and fore finger will hold the elastic, and the other hand will wrap the elastic band around the ponytail. When enough elastic has been wrapped around your ponytail to support it, you can attach the hook to the hair. The elastic with hooks is easily removable and avoids unnecessary damage to the hair. Step 3 Finish: ● Congratulations you have finished your ponytail. Now the rest is up to you. ● For this look I used hair tongs to give a little twist of curl with Flat Iron Spray from Wella. ● Pin the hair over the top with hair pins and grips. ● Finish the look with Wella Crackle Wax. ● Use a small amount, rub thought ends ● Apply evenly. |
